Arlington is a county that runs like a big city. It’s 26 square miles is the smallest self- governing county in the United States. It is located across the Potomac River from Washington D. C. and is also bordered by Fairfax County and Falls Church City. Due to it’s location, it is home to many government departments and agencies, such as DOD, the Pentagon, DEA, DARPA, TSA, and Regan Washington National Airport. The government and contractor workforce contribute to Arlington's stable economy. It’s residents have a high median family income, but has one of the highest concentration of singles.
